“Modern” means “modern”. It was such at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, when the mixing of existing styles of past epochs did not give the proper result: a rough eclecticism was produced, dazzling with heaps, under which the boring forms were easily recognized. Therefore, the emergence of a new style was a natural phenomenon, moreover, progressive technologies that developed at the turn of the centuries required application. Extraordinary, bright personalities wanted to break out of the shackles of recognizable copies of the old and breathe new style into their lives.

Today, modern, of course, does not justify its name and has no relation to modern design, but it is still in demand with “interior design. Having stopped the choice on this style in the classic version, be prepared for sufficient financial expenses, because modern is considered the most difficult area and requires sophistication, good taste, strict adherence to the rules.
At the heart of the style is a complete abandonment of the old principles of the organization of internal space. The layout can be free, the floor is split-level, the windows are tall, widened with stained glass decorations and drapery.

Double-wing wide doors often have the form of an arch with windows, which creates the effect of open space. The ceilings are finished with plaster moldings, strange birds and flowers, the walls are asymmetrically decorated with fancy lines, silky wallpaper, but they should not take all the attention to themselves, competing with the filling of the room. It should be noted that the line is the main organizing form in the modern, it should not be straight, but flexible, lively, whimsically sliding, resembling natural elements. Floral ornament is located on the doors and on the upholstery of furniture. Lampshades repeat flower shapes.

Sex should not be screaming. The ideal design option is the floor covering in the same tone with the walls or slightly darker, made of stone, natural tile, or wood. Ladders necessarily wide, railing openwork forged.

The color scheme combines “bloom and decay”: fantasy paints with decadent chic, as if sprinkled with ashes. To their favorite blue, lilac, pearl, beige, brown, pink, silver palette, modernists mix gray color, creating the effect of fading. Accents can be red, yellow and fuchsia, but in very limited quantities.
Since modernity requires airspace, it is suitable for studio rooms without additional partitions.

You can zone a room using color. As the finishing touches, fill the space with statues, luxurious paintings, bronze attributes, embroidered pillows and chinaware. Remember, modern is the style of self-confident people.
